Ingredients

  • Tea leaves - 2tsp
  • Water - 1 cup
  • Cloves - 2
  • Cardamoms - 3
  • Cinamon - ½ inch
  • Milk - ¾ cup
  • Peppercorn - 3
  • Sugar - 2 tsp

Directions

  • Start by crushing the whole spices and keep them aside.
  • Bring water to a boil and add the spices along with tea leaves.
  • Once the flavours are absorbed, pour in the milk and boil.
  • Before serving, add a spoonful of sugar.

Aadrak Chai

  • Tea leaves - 2 ½ tsp
  • Ginger - 1.5 inch
  • Water - 1 cup
  • Milk - 3 tbsp

Directions

  • Grate the ginger into fine pieces.
  • Bring the water to a boil and add ginger and tea leaves. Let it simmer for 5-7 minutes.
  • Bring down the heat and add sugar to sweeten.
  • You can serve this as black tea or add milk at this point.
  • Boil with milk and serve hot!

Ingredients

  • Cardamom - 1
  • Ginger - ¾ tsp
  • Jaggery - 1 tsp
  • Tea leaves - ¾ tsp
  • Clove - 1
  • Water - a cup
  • Lime - ½ tsp
  • Mint leaves - 2 or 3 fresh

Directions

  • Pound or grind all the spices together.
  • Grate and extract the ginger juice.
  • Bring the water to a boil and add in the spices, ginger juice and jaggery.
  • Once there is an aroma, add lime juice and mint leaves. Simmer for 2-3 minutes.
  • Add milk and pour it into a mug.
